Effective October 1st 2018, a Travel and Tourism Development Fee (ATTDF) will be charged on passengers departing Barbados. This fee will be levied in addition to the Departure Tax, which is currently charged at the rate of US$27.50 per passenger and is built into the cost of the airline ticket. Passengers flying outside of CARICOM (Caribbean Community) will pay an additional sum of US$70.00 representing ATTDF, while those travelling within CARICOM will pay an additional US$35.00 representing ATTDF.
Once we receive notification as to how this fee will be collected – whether at the airport at check in or built into the airline ticket, we will update this page.
