Loved my stay at Sundown Villa!

I loved everything about my vacation and stay at Sundown Villa! Will, our chef, made delicious authentic meals that were so tasty we never needed (or wanted) to go into a restaurant. The staff made our stay comfortable and were very accommodating. Returning to Barbados and staying at Sundown Villa will be in my future plans!

A beautiful little villa right on the beach

A beautiful little villa right on the beach, just next to Mullins Beach bar. A lovely little house with two bedrooms, both equipped with queen size beds. The beds are nice and firm and gives you a good nights sleep.

The outside is just amazing. 4 great sun beds(very comfortable) and you get to choose from shade and sun thanks to the big palm overhanging the porch. There are stairs leading straight to the beach and reef. You also have a nice dining table under the roof. The sunset is amazing from here.

Once you hit the beach you can choose from regular swimming over sand or grab your snorkel gear and hover the reefs. I spent hours snorkeling. There’s no end to the wonderful amounts of different fish and life around the reef. I even got to swim right next to a turtle 30 feet from the house! But what really makes this place and stay so incredible is Linda. She’s the housekeeper/cook. As happy as can be every day and so helpful, yet discreet. Here cooking is second to none and she takes care of everything and anything you need. She cooks two meals a day and takes care of all laundry, ironing etc.

Mullins beach (and Sunset Reach) is located right next to the road, so there is some noise from the road. But to us this was no problem. The sounds of the water washing up on the reef is far more present and thus makes it a lovely place to be. We worried a little bit about this when we rented the place, but thankfully it didn’t prove to be annoying.

The Mullins beach bar attracts all kinds of watersports sellers (they seem to operate individually). You can choose from jet skiing, wakeboard, tube, glass bottom boats etc. The sellers are friendly and don’t bother you unless you seek them.

In general the people on the island are extremely friendly and helpful. A big reason why our stay here was so great. Barbados is paradise and Sunset Reach met all our hopes and dreams. Don’t even think about it, just go there! We booked our stay and several activities like rental car, surfing and diving through Carolyn. She can be found at BarbadosBarbados.com. Great service and always available. She’ll make your booking and stay here so much easier and stress free!

Testimonial on Carolyn O’Dell

When booking a holiday over the internet and transferring large amounts of money, one is always a little apprehensive, so to anyone reading this and thinking of booking with Carolyn at BarbadosBarbados – go ahead, you could not be in safer hands.

Guest reviews of Palm Beach Condos 108

I have been to the island 5 times previous (staying in differing hotels) and Palm Beach 108 was by far and away the best!

Carolyn (who we booked with) was very helpful and it gave me great comfort to know that if called upon she would respond as a matter of urgency, also met the owner who was really friendly and set the tone for the whole holiday.

The party consisted of 3 adults and children aged 15, 10 and 6.

The apartment was lovely and the fact that there was 3 large bathrooms meant no queuing for the showers (which is unheard of in my house !).

Internal Facilities – Huge apartment fitted us with comfort – plenty of room to spare, lots of storage space (including walk in wardrobes in the bedroom) and really was a fantastic setting….everything you could want.

External Facilities – Lovely 3 tiered pool which accommodated small children without having to spoil it for adults who wanted a swim as they would use the deeper tier. Close to beach (which is just behind the pool), which also has a lovely manmade lagoon where you can snorkle with the fish…also the highlight was watching the turtles hatch and make their way to the sea !!. I’m informed that theres also a great gym…but I’ll have to take my partners word on that ! 🙂 .

Location – Walking distance to Garrison & Boardwalk. Close ZR/Bus stop will take you to Bridgetown in minutes or Oistins etc – Fab.

I will be recommending to all my friends and family, definitely will return – this was a better experience than any hotel I have stayed with previously.

Simply stunning setting, only downside was that we had to leave 🙁

Wow, what am amazing place in a perfect location. Our first time to Barbados – to meet our son after he rowed across the Atlantic. I spent days looking at different accommodation and believe I chose the best! Extremely well equipped, the apartment had a great feel. It was lovely to meet Gary when we arrived and I’m sure we will be back.

Thank you Tanya, Gary and Carolyn for making our stay at Palm Beach 108 so wonderful. We traveled with our boats from Seaview, Isle of Wight and had 5 days of racing and fantastic hospitality from the Barbados Yacht Club. This condo was absolutely perfect and a peaceful oasis from the bustle of Barbados life. Perfect in every way!

Guest reviews Tamarind Cottage

Tamarind Cottage sits 100 feet back and 20 feet up from the beach, in a dense patch of lush greenery, allowing the cottage beautiful sea views, but with privacy and wonderful breezes. The design is simple and unadorned: coral stone, pickled wood and white ceramic tile. Best architectural feature: the sea-side veranda that opens up the entire west elevation of the cottage. Advantage that can’t be duplicated: Diana and her amazing Bajan cooking and sense of fun. This is our second visit to Tamarind Cottage; we note (and applaud) that the appliances are being upgraded. We look forward to returning to this charming vacation cottage.

A rustic yet charming villa set 50 metres from a very quiet beach. We loved sitting on the terrace in lush greenery with views of the beach. Diana the made was great and cooked for us three times as well as looked after the villa. There are several beach bars (including Lone Star) and fish market within easy walking distance. The appliances had been updated but it is slightly shabby chic. However, we had a 100% fantastic week and loved it.
